About Us

Suitable Spares was established at the end of the last century by Tony Holtham who travelled all over the country selling various spare parts from his trusty van. I am sure many of our customers will still remember those days with fond memories. Tony still plays an active part at Suitable Spares and is 2 days a week even though he is now over 80.

Originally a filter manufacturer we have been supplying non genuine pattern and genuine parts for 25 years, expanding our range to encompass parts for many brands of Construction, Forestry and Ground care equipment.

As a dealer for many popular quality brands including Makita, Husqvarna, Belle, NGK our staff have over 100 years if combined experience in the trade.

Our website list many thousands of items, many of which are on the shelf in our warehouse in Stoke-on-Trent. We also supply three paper catalogues. Red for Construction spares and workshop supplies and Green for Forestry and Garden spares.

We aim to provide the best personal service with optimal pricing.

Business customers can also register for a credit account.

Delivery

We primarily use DPD and Royal Mail for our next day deliveries.

Our standard DPD delivery charge is £5.95 + vat for orders below £75.00 and free of charge for orders above £75.00.

We will utilise Royal Mail for smaller order with a reduced charge of £3.95 + vat.

We can also offer timed and weekend deliveries with DPD for an additional cost.

Returns

We understand that everyone makes mistakes and unlike our competitors we do not charge a restocking fee.

We accept returns as long as the item has not been fitted and comes back in it''s original packaging. The return is subject to inspection and must be in resalable condition. The cost of the return postage cannot be refunded.
